／ちいさなギャラリーのある住宅　2015

ギャラリーのある小住宅の提案。
描いた絵画が少しずつ増えていくため、ギャラリーが大部分を占める住宅になった。クライアントにとって周囲を取り囲む大きな庭は、窓から眺めるものでも、デッキで鳥の声を楽しむものでもなく、周辺の喧噪から距離をとるための緩衝領域であった。そのため細長いギャラリーの両端のトップライトから入る２種類の光のみで空間が満たされるようにし、外との唯一のつながりとした。

Proposal for a small housing with a gallery.
As the paintings number increased little by little, the gallery occupied the majority of the house, posing questions on the renovation.
For the client, the big garden surrounding the propriety was not a view from the window, nor he’d enjoy the bird’s voice on the deck, but it was a cushioning area to get away from the bustle of the surroundings.
For this reason, the space is designed to be filled with only two kinds of light, from the top and at both ends of the long and narrow gallery, and work as the only connection to the outside.
